Website Terms & Club Policies

Moree Water Ski Club Inc.
Last updated: August 2026

By using this website, applying for membership, purchasing a Boat Permit, making a lake booking, registering for an event or purchasing merchandise, you agree to the applicable terms and policies outlined below.

These terms should be read together with the Moree Water Ski Club Constitution, Club Rules, Code of Conduct and Privacy Policy.

Where there is any inconsistency between these website terms and the Club's Constitution, the Constitution will prevail to the extent required.

1. Club Membership

Moree Water Ski Club offers membership categories including Boat, Family and Social Membership.

Membership operates annually from 1 August to 30 July.

Membership applications and renewals are subject to the Club's Constitution, Club Rules and any applicable approval processes.

Payment of a membership fee does not, by itself, guarantee acceptance or renewal of membership where committee approval is required.

Members are responsible for ensuring the information provided to MWSC is current and accurate.

2. Boat Membership & Boat Permits

Members wishing to operate a powered vessel at Moree Water Park must hold the appropriate current Club membership and have an approved Boat Permit for that vessel.

Boat Permit applicants may be required to provide:

  • vessel registration details;

  • an annual mechanical declaration;

  • supporting documentation;

  • signed declarations; and

  • any other information reasonably required by the Club.

Boat Permits apply only to approved vessels and are not transferable between vessels or members unless approved by MWSC.

A Boat Permit is not considered approved until confirmation has been issued by the Club.

3. Gate & Facility Access

Approved members may be provided with access information for Moree Water Park.

Gate codes and other access credentials:

  • are for authorised member use;

  • must not be published or distributed;

  • must not be provided to unauthorised persons; and

  • may be changed by MWSC when required.

Members are responsible for their guests while at the facility.

If you are the last person leaving the Park, you are responsible for ensuring the gate is properly secured.

All vehicles must observe the signposted 20 km/h speed limit within the precinct.

4. Lake Bookings

Members must comply with the Club's current lake booking rules.

Unless otherwise advised:

  • only members with an approved Boat Permit may make a boat booking;

  • each Boat Membership may hold one active booking at any given time;

  • members may not simultaneously book multiple lakes;

  • Tournament Lakes are limited to one boat at a time; and

  • the Circuit Lake may accommodate up to five boats at a time.

Members must respect booked session times and other lake users.

If your Circuit Lake booking has ended and fewer than five boats are using the lake, you may remain on the water until the capacity is required by an arriving booking.

Members should cancel bookings they no longer intend to use so other members have an opportunity to book.

MWSC may restrict, cancel or modify lake access because of events, maintenance, weather, water conditions, safety concerns or other operational requirements.

5. Guests

Members may bring guests to Moree Water Park subject to Club Rules.

The member introducing the guest is responsible for ensuring their guests understand and comply with applicable Club and facility rules.

Guest access does not provide the guest with independent access or booking rights.

6. Safety

All members, guests and visitors must comply with applicable laws, Club Rules, safety requirements and directions from authorised Club representatives.

Approved personal flotation devices must be worn whenever required by law or Club Rules.

Members are responsible for operating vessels safely and ensuring their vessel remains appropriately registered, maintained and fit for use.

Unsafe conduct may result in immediate suspension of lake or facility access where necessary to protect people or property, subject to the Club's Constitution and disciplinary procedures.

In a life-threatening emergency, call 000.

Incidents, injuries, hazards, damage and significant near misses should be reported to the Club as soon as practicable through the Club's incident reporting process.

7. Club Events

Event registrations may be subject to additional event-specific terms, entry requirements, fees and cancellation arrangements.

MWSC may change, postpone or cancel an event because of weather, water conditions, safety considerations, insufficient participation or circumstances outside the Club's reasonable control.

Where an event is cancelled or materially changed, MWSC will communicate available options to registered participants.

8. Membership & Permit Cancellations

Requests to cancel membership or a Boat Permit should be submitted to MWSC in writing.

Any entitlement to a refund will depend on the circumstances, the Club's Constitution and Rules, the nature of the payment and any rights that apply under Australian law.

Memberships and Boat Permits are not transferable unless expressly approved by MWSC.

9. Merchandise Orders

Products available through the MWSC online store are subject to availability.

Product colours and appearance may vary slightly from photographs displayed online.

Prices are displayed in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated.

MWSC will endeavour to fulfil orders within the timeframe communicated at purchase. Pre-order merchandise may have longer fulfilment periods.

10. Returns & Refunds – Merchandise

MWSC complies with the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.

If merchandise has a major problem or otherwise fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement or other remedy under Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

MWSC is not required to provide a refund or exchange simply because you change your mind. However, the Club may choose to offer exchanges or returns in certain circumstances at its discretion.

Please contact the Club if you believe an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect.

11. Online Payments

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.

By making an online payment, you agree to any applicable terms imposed by the payment provider.

MWSC does not intend to directly store complete payment card details.

12. Website Information

MWSC makes reasonable efforts to keep information on this website accurate and current.

As a volunteer-run organisation, information including event dates, lake availability, fees, committee details and operating arrangements may change.

Where appropriate, current Club Rules, booking information and official Club communications should be relied upon.

13. Website Availability

MWSC does not guarantee that the website, booking system, membership forms or online store will be available without interruption.

Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical issues or circumstances outside the Club's control.

If an online service is unavailable and you need assistance, please contact the Club by email.

14. External Links

The MWSC website may contain links to third-party websites and services.

MWSC is not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of external websites.

15. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, MWSC owns or is authorised to use the Club's logos, branding, photographs, graphics and original website content.

Club branding and other intellectual property must not be reproduced or used commercially without permission.

16. Privacy

Personal information provided through this website is handled in accordance with the Moree Water Ski Club Privacy Policy.

This includes information submitted through membership applications, Boat Permit applications, bookings, event registrations, merchandise orders and incident reports.

17. Changes to These Terms

MWSC may update these terms and policies from time to time.

The current version will be published on the Club website with the date it was last updated.

Material changes affecting membership rights or obligations will be managed in accordance with the Club's Constitution and applicable law.
